2. Dates of issue are probably printing dates and not dates of first use. The 2g red is also reported printed on July 13 and the 4g black on May 15.
3. Variations in printing quantities are reported from 250 up to 38,000.
4. * Quantities for the 8g and 16g are less 40,000 each for the 1917 New Value Provisionals.
5. In 1931 remainders of this issue were sold to Thomas Cliffe, and English stamp wholesaler. The total quantity was 1,469,788 stamps, leaving 856,962 of this issue for possible postal use.
