1. Sold only in complete sets at double face value. Half the proceeds went to the newly formed Ethiopian Red Cross. 2. Sold in New York beginning March 1, 1936. Self-addressed envelopes with stamps affixed were sent to the Ethiopian Red Cross and mailed from Addis Abeba. The mint stamps were also available in some European capitals. 3.
